On November 21, 2013, the Board of Directors celebrated the opening of Kitty and Canine Coves; our new dog and cat adoption areas! We’ll now be able to help even more animals who need us.
Animal services to the City of Mountain View's residents and their animals began on November 2, 2012. SVACA is honored to care for their animals and look forward to helping their residents resolve animal control matters.
In recognition and support for achieving a 100% adoption guarantee for all healthy shelter dogs and cats for two years (2010 and 2011), Maddie's Fund® awarded a $1.04M Community Lifesaving Award to WeCARE, a coalition of six organizations in Santa Clara County, California.

The Special District Risk Management Authority (SDRMA) Board of Directors selected SVACA as the SDRMA Workers’ Compensation - small member recipient of the McMurchie Excellence in Safety Award for 2009.
Hundreds joined SVACA, Friends of SVACA, Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), and the San Francisco 49ers for a calendar release party. 49ers players signed autographs, CCI gave demonstrations, and funds were raised for the animals! Watch the 49ers produced video.

The City of Santa Clara Youth Commission held a Spaghetti Dinner and Bingo Night benefit on January 30, 2009 at the Santa Clara Senior Center.

We held a late summer event in an effort to provide much needed low cost services to all animal guardians in our area. 129 total animals received care, 81 received microchips, and a total of 198 vaccinations were administered.
On May 3, 2008, we held our second annual adoptathon, Celebrate Companion Animals, in conjunction with the North Shore Animal Rescue League.
On November 14, 2007, the Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (SVACA) will be celebrating the one-year anniversary of the opening of its state-of-the-art cageless Animal Care Center.
On November 7, 2007, SVACA will be opening a low cost spay/neuter clinic for the residents of Campbell, Monte Sereno and Santa Clara.
On May 5, 2007, we held our first annual adoptathon, Celebrate Companion Animals, in conjunction with the Silicon Valley Tails Pet Magazine and the North Shore Animal Rescue League.
On December 2, 2006, SVACA held a Grand Opening Ceremony to celebrate the opening of the new Animal Care Center. Hundreds of folks attended the event.
Our new Animal Care Center opened on Tuesday, November 14, to provide licensing, field services and homeless animal sheltering to the residents of three cities - Campbell, Monte Sereno and Santa Clara.
On March 10, 2006, SVACA held a Construction Launch Ceremony to celebrate the “ground breaking” of the new Animal Care Center.
