    On November 21, 2013, the Board of Directors celebrated the opening of Kitty and Canine Coves; our new dog and cat adoption areas! We’ll now be able to help even more animals who need us.

    Animal services to the City of Mountain View's residents and their animals began on November 2, 2012. SVACA is honored to care for their animals and look forward to helping their residents resolve animal control matters.

    Maddie’s Fund Lifesaving Award

    In recognition and support for achieving a 100% adoption guarantee for all healthy shelter dogs and cats for two years (2010 and 2011), Maddie's Fund® awarded a $1.04M Community Lifesaving Award to WeCARE, a coalition of six organizations in Santa Clara County, California.

    The Special District Risk Management Authority (SDRMA) Board of Directors selected SVACA as the SDRMA Workers’ Compensation - small member recipient of the McMurchie Excellence in Safety Award for 2009.

    49ers Help the Animals!

    Hundreds joined SVACA, Friends of SVACA, Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), and the San Francisco 49ers for a calendar release party. 49ers players signed autographs, CCI gave demonstrations, and funds were raised for the animals! Watch the 49ers produced video.

    Dog and Cat Days of Summer

    We held a late summer event in an effort to provide much needed low cost services to all animal guardians in our area. 129 total animals received care, 81 received microchips, and a total of 198 vaccinations were administered.
