Animal Ordinances

Please help us keep you and the animals safe by familiarizing yourself with your city’s local animal ordinances. It is quite important to abide by ‘leash laws’ to keep your dog and others safe.

Animal Loss

The loss of a cherished companion can be devastating for the entire family and we offer a few links to help you through this challenging time. Staff are available to speak with those who need further assistance.

Behavior Problems

Behavior problems often lead to frustration and the belief that an animal must be given away to a new home or surrendered to a shelter. Aside from the resources offered, SVACA staff can also be contacted for advice. Dog parks help to keep dogs socialized and well mannered.

Disaster Preparedness

One never knows when a disaster will strike and owners should include their companion in their disaster plan.

Companion Animal Cupboard

The Companion Animal Cupboard is available to residents of Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Mountain View and Santa Clara that are having financial difficulty. Through the generosity of Friends of SVACA and donations from the community, we are able to provide food and supplies on a monthly basis to families with companion animals.
