OzzieSVACA CARES offers the following affordable services to the animals of residents experiencing financial hardship living in Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Mountain View and Santa Clara, by appointment:

  • Spay and neuter services
  • Rabies vaccinations and microchips
  • End of life services

Proof of government assistance is required to qualify for the above services. Please note that once a form is submitted for service, our staff will contact you as they are able and as time allows.

Spay & Neuter Clinic

SVACA’s Spay and Neuter Clinic alters domestic CATS and chihuahua and pit bull breed DOGS between 4 months and 7 years of age for residents experiencing financial hardship who reside in Santa Clara, Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno and Mountain View ONLY. Qualifying residents can request services by completing the Spay/Neuter Request Form. We will contact you to schedule surgery if your companion animal qualifies and as we can accommodate your request. 

Spaying or neutering has many benefits such as: prevents the addition of more animals to the overpopulation problem, increases the likelihood that a companion animal will live a long and healthy life, and reduces the chance of unwanted behaviors, i.e., spraying in cats and roaming in dogs.

Voucher Programs

The Friends of SVACA offers spay/neuter surgery vouchers to residents experiencing financial hardship in Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Mountain View and Santa Clara to help cover some of the cost of spay and neuter surgery.

The Palo Alto Humane Society offers spay/neuter surgery vouchers to residents experiencing financial hardship.

Vaccination Clinic

The clinic is open to dogs and cats; please note, breed, health, and age restrictions may apply. Residents of Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Mountain View, and Santa Clara can request services by completing this Vaccination FormWe will contact you to schedule an appointment if your companion animal qualifies and as we can accommodate your request. 

  • $25 Rabies vaccine, valid for 1 year or 3 years (with proof of prior vaccination)
  • $35 Microchip implant with free registry into the 24Petwatch Microchip Registry

End of Life Services

We understand how emotionally challenging it is to prepare for the end of your beloved companion’s life. SVACA provides a humane, painless and dignified end for companion animals of residents experiencing financial hardship that live in Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Mountain View and Santa Clara. The fee for a dog or cat is $150.00 and an ‘other’ animal is $40.00; both include communal cremations. An additional $50.00 fee will also be charged for animals collected by staff in the field. Proof of government assistance is required to qualify for end of life services. 

Qualifying residents can request services by completing the End of Life Form.  Please note that due to staffing availability, it may take a few days for us to contact you. If your companion animal needs immediate care, you may need to contact your private veterinarian.

Animal Loss Services

We offer services for the handling of deceased owned animals in Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Mountain View, and Santa Clara. The fees are as follows:

  • Small animals: $25.00
  • Dogs, cats, or rabbits: $50.00
  • Dogs over 150 pounds: $125.00

An additional $50.00 fee applies for animals collected by staff in the field. For more information, please contact us at staff@svaca.com.

Companion Animal Cupboard

The Companion Animal Cupboard is available to residents of Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Mountain View and Santa Clara who are experiencing financial hardship. Proof of government assistance is required to qualify for this program. Through the generosity of Friends of SVACA and donations from the community, we are able to provide food and supplies on a monthly basis to families with companion animals.
